Again, from the book Discovering Great Artists by MaryAnn F. Kohl, Kim Solga, we have a new project for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Limbourg Brothers are most known for their calendar-book with a list of holy days, prayers, and pictures of the seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their pictures were incredibly detailed creations with paints that they made themselves. They used tiny paintbrushes and magnifying glasses to add an extreme amount of details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Activity: you can make your own calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Draw a template on a paper with pencil covered by permanent marker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Photocopy (or scan\/print) the template image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Add the finishing touches on each individual calendar page to make it unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Bind all pages together in a nice calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also played around with various sketches of calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
